How to make kiwi sorbet

Making sorbet at home is incredibly easy, although it sounds fantastic. For most fruit sorbets, it is best to use fruits that are very ripe because they have the highest natural sugar content. For this kiwi sorbet, if you use kiwis that are not very ripe, the sorbet will be really sour! We love to wait until our kiwis are almost to the point where they are too soft to eat and then we know they are perfect for this recipe!

Stage 1: Peel and slice your kiwi. The easiest way to peel kiwis is:

  • Rubber from the edges
  • Run a spoon just under the skin all the way around the kiwi
  • Cut into equal pieces

Step 2: Freeze kiwi slices. Put the slices in a pan and freeze for about an hour. If you freeze longer than that, it will be harder to mix them in the food processor.

Step 3: Mix. We like to use a food processor for this recipe to combine everything. Makes the mixture smooth and creamy and really fast.

Once you blend, you can serve your sorbet right away! It will be the perfect consistency to eat. Frozen, but soft enough for scooping and serving.
